7v7 one hand touch Football Rules
ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR A SOFT HELMET
- 7 Defenders and 6 offensive players (QB Timer stool)
- Each possession starts at the 40-yard line and moves toward the end zone
- First downs are made by crossing the 25-yard line and the 10-yard line. (1st/2nd Grade 30, 20, 10)
- 3 downs to make a first down or score
- No running plays
- A ball may be thrown behind the LOS but must gain positive yards or it will be considered a sack.
- Possession changes after a PAT attempt, failure to make a first down or turnover
- One time out per team, per game.
- All offensive formations must be legal sets.
- One-hand touch anywhere
- No double passes
- No coaches on field after 4th grade (5th and up) after 5th game
- No Blocking or Shielding
- Games are 30:00 minutes long. The clock runs continuously during the 1st 28:00 minutes & stops according to rules during the final 2:00. There is no overtime in pool play.
- A ball held for 4.01+ seconds for 5-6 grade, 5.01 seconds for 1-4 grade will count as a sack.
- Incomplete passes stop the clock under 2 minutes. The clock starts on the snap.
- Extra points are played from the 5-yard line w/ choice of hash ( 2 pts. From 10 in playoffs)
- Overtime (tournament only, untimed):
- Consists of 3 plays from a 10-yard line. Each team has an attempt to score in each overtime period. Starting with the 3rd and subsequent overtimes, all PAT must be from the 10-yard line
Penalties:
- Defensive PI- automatic first down, +5 yards from LOS
- Offensive PI- 5 yards, replay down
- Defensive holding- automatic first down +5 yards from LOS
- Illegal procedure - warn - 5 yards
- Offsides- warn - 5 yards
- Delay of game - warn - 5 yards
- Unsportsmanlike conduct- 10 yards/ 2nd time ejected
- FIGHTING- EJECTED
Pool play and Tournament play:
- Teams will be divided into even numbers/ even competitions.
- Teams will be seeded for the tournament according to overall records from pool play
- Tiebreakers:
- Head2head
- Point scored vs scored against
- Coin flip
Scoring:
- Touchdown +6
- PAT +1 (+2 from 10)
- Interception +3
- Turnover on downs +2
